Blogs & Your Business

The bottom line is you need to determine how a blog will
benefit your business,
determine a schedule and adhere
to it. Let your readers know what to expect and when to
expect it.

Traffic is your number one priority to get, once you have
it, keep that traffic coming back.

Blogs provide great supplemental content and direct attention
to areas of your business that you want to showcase;
you direct the content but let your traffic guide you.

What are Blogs?

Having heard the term previously but not having paid much
attention most are just to afraid to show their ignorance
and ask the question, what is a blog? Lets face it; the term
blog does not conjure pleasant images.

Blogs are web logs that are updated regularly, usually
on a daily basis. They contain information related to a
specific topic.

In some cases blogs are used as daily diaries about
people’s personal lives, political views, or even as social
commentaries.

The truth of the matter is that blogs can be shaped
into whatever you, the author, want them to be.

How To Develop and Improve Your Storytelling Skills

May 25, 2008

Good storytelling is an important and essential skill
to hone and improve. It is one of the most natural
forms of human communicating.

Relating something significant about the day’s events
which are highly relevant to your subscribers can be a
valuable tool or method to get a point across. You
should be sharing only what is highly relevant to your

lesson point.

These events can be stories about your drive home
yesterday or most recent adventure to a certain store,
to long stories about your travels abroad or something
that changed your life; but they become something worth
sharing only if they tie directly in to help reinforce
what your teaching.

it does and does not do for you. What it doesn’t do,
is help you in getting traffic, so to speak.

What it does do, is help you condense your time, posting
to your blogs, and at the same time, ping a ton of social
bookmarking sites.

You can Use Blogs to Increase Traffic & Increase Conversions

Here’s one of the questions I have e-mailed to me all the time:

How can you use blogs to increase traffic?

Blogs can increase traffic through the following:

1. If your blog has valuable content, this will attract
readers to your blog who will visit again. VERY IMPORTANT!

Most people who perform searches using search engines
are actually looking for information, for solutions. The more
helpful and relevant content you have, the easier
it is for you to attract visitors and also to turn them into
loyal readers and subscribers.
