Trying To Do Too Much
June 30, 2009 by Temogen Amato · Leave a Comment
In the last post “How Can You Make Mistakes Work For You?
We discussed making mistakes, learning from them and then
moving forward, Like most people, Mark and I initially
struggled to make any money online for quite some time,
Then we both made some discoveries that virtually turned our
online business around overnight and now we make money
on a regular basis.
So what was one of the discoveries that made so much
difference to our business?
What was impeding our business and stopping us from
reaching our potential?
Having your fingers in too many pies at once was one of the
mistakes that we were making
Imagine this scenario…
You open your email program and there is a screen full of
emails waiting for you to open and check out. You then
spend at least 30 minutes going through them to see if
there’s anything of interest.
While you’re doing this, you see a product that you’ve
just got to have. Maybe it identifies a problem you’ve
encountered and having it will ease all your confusion and
frustration by filling a void.
Maybe this is just the thing you’ve been waiting for that
will allow you to finally leap that last hurdle in your
path to success. With this product maybe, just maybe,
you’ll finally be able to reach your goals.
The trouble is that this very rarely happens.
In fact most times when first starting out, buying more
products only adds to your confusion and frustration. It’s
just one more strategy you have to learn and implement on
top of the other 5 or 6 projects you already have on the
go.
But you tirelessly soldier on, because you feel that the
more strings you have to your bow, the better your business
is going to be in the long run.
You quickly find that you simply don’t have the time to do
everything, so you jump from one half-baked scheme or idea
to another trying to see which is best, without ever
seriously implementing any of them.
The end result is more frustration, more confusion… and
a thinner wallet.
Don’t get us wrong.
Creating multiple streams of income is a key element
to online success. And regardless of what niche you
promote, there are some products or services that you
simply MUST have if you are to create a solid long-term
income.
But unless you have a business plan that you follow
religiously, buying bunch of new products will in fact have a
negative impact on your business.
If this sounds like you, then don’t fret because you’re
not alone!
This is the primary reason why most businesses never
really get off the ground. You must be prepared to alter
or develop your business plan so that you can stay
focused and maintain disciplined time management.

Affiliate marketing has its ups and downs. It could be draining if you are not armed with updated information and the technical how-tos. But this posts sole objective is to reach out to you and not to badmouth affiliate marketing.
Here are the following reasons on why web marketers go gaga over affiliate marketing as a form of Internet advertisement.

Those of us who regularly shop on line are familiar with the array of free gifts, free bonuses and just plain freebies that are offered to a visitor to a website to encourage them to buy. How could you collect, select and offer free gifts, which will be valued as much as the original merchandise that is being purchased, put these gifts together and add them to your E-book? There are just three steps to do that very thing. They are:
1. Identify your key words in each chapter of your E-book. Now, type those words into your favorite search engine. You are looking for free E-books on the same subject in more depth, by a greater expert than you are, or by someone who gives a new and fresh angle to the topic. Add a link to the free E-book in each chapter of your E-book.
2. Research the Internet for related free gifts. Now you are looking for things that you could give as free gifts in your E-book that will make it more appealing and give it more pass-along appeal to your readers. For example: If you are selling gardening supplies, find a planting guide on the web that can be downloaded and include that as a gift in your E-book.

Yahoo, was the original inventor of the use of the P4P or Pay for Performance. Yahoo saw that the internet was fast becoming the easiest and most convenient way to shop, and advertising was going to hit at an all time high because of the many businesses in the arena.
To get a person to go to a site than others, it needs to be very visible. Providing ads that could direct potential consumers and costumers to their site would allow them to have an increase in traffic as well as sales. Yahoo provides a service that can put a site or company’s ad in their sites that can be shown when certain keywords are inputted.

Your Blog Is The HEart Of Your Web 2.0 Business – Keep It Healthy!
In many ways your blog is like the heart of your Web 2.0
business. Before you can really make the most of technorati,
digg, and other social bookmarking sites you need a blog.
Like I’ve said before, you really need a WordPress blog
on your own domain… NOT some free space with a program
like blogger.
And once you have a blog, you have to keep it in good shape.
